Finally my Prezi!
I’m finally finished my Prezi after what seems like forever. Making the Prezi wasn’t really hard the only thing I had trouble with was the jing voice over. I had to do like 20 tries but it’s finally done. I think prezi is really cool and I would definitely use it again.

Final Project
It was very interesting learning and sharing details about my online self. I also enjoyed exploring and using the Prezi program. I plan to use Prezi for future presentations.

Prezi Assignment Finalized
My Prezi experience was very interesting. I really enjoyed using a different technology to talk about my self. In this Prezi you will see a great visual of all my online identities.
Prezi Update
I am enjoying the Prezi website so far. It took me quite some time to learn the site and figure out how to manuiver around. But once I messed with the different controls and features, I was able to get creative and actually have some fun! Yes, I said FUN! Prezi is very new-age and I am sure I will be using this feature in the future. I can use this to create many different types of videos. Whether that be for personal use or academic use. Technology is multimodal and multimedia. Prezi offers the ability and the space to be new-age and unique with your projects. I have not yet completed my Prezi, but when I do I will update the blog for everyone!
Prezi
I think the idea of prezi is really cool. It like a more modern version of a power point. They aren’t that hard to make either and it seems like you can do so much more with them. I like how you can choose a path for your prezi too.

I really am not that social through online media. I have a facebook and now twitter and blog. In my prezi presentation I gave a brief overview of my online self.

Narrative
It’s weird to think of yourself as having two separate identities. You online self and you real world self can either be very similar or complete opposites.
Your online self can be whoever you want it to be. People determine who you are based on what you post and all the things you post are up to your discretion. Everything is based on what you post and what people think of you because of that. Your real world self is not as easy of your online self because you’re not able to put on an image.
We have learned in class that there are numerous ways of self expression online, including: blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc. I feel like if you really want to get to know someone, look at their Facebook. People tend to get very personal on these online spaces, so their they best way to get to know someone without asking them directly.
Through the years, these online spaces have changed. Back in middle school I remember how popular Myspace and AIM (Aol instant messenger) were. Now they’re rarely used , if they exist at all. Once Facebook came around, everyone seemed to forget and eliminate the others. Google+ was trying to be Facebook’s competition, but didn’t gain enough popularity. It still exists, but it’s rarely used.

This is what I have so far. I still plan to incorporate 3 out of the 5 different pages we are to use. I have already incorporated one with twitter stats and Facebook friend locations. I have screen shots of all of the past and present social networking sites I use, also including the pages’ logo. I still have a few things to tweak and add, but I think I’m on the right track.
The Reality Of Facebook
For an assignment for class we had to log out of Facebook for a week. At first I was really spectacle because im always on Facebook just to read other peoples updates. I don’t have much time to hang out with the friends and family so I use Facebook as an outlet to keep up with them. The first couple of days I felt like I was off track because going onto Facebook was my daily routine. After awhile it didn’t really bother me. I didn’t have the urge to pick up my phone and attempt to log on. There are so many other technologies and online amenities that kept my mind off of Facebook. I think my week off of Facebook allowed me to explore Twitter more. I actually posted more on Twitter and read all of my followers post. Everyone who is constantly on Facebook has this idea that without it they would not be able to get in touch with people. People need to realize that there are many other forms of communication and we need to be able to get through this idea that Facebook is the only way.
